About The Position

The Financial Analyst, Senior conducts and documents complex financial analysis projects and provides functional advice or training to less experienced financial analysts. The role is based at Altoona Station Medical Center and offers a hybrid in-office and work-from-home schedule, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related business field, or a high school diploma/GED and five years of related work experience.
• At least three years of related work experience for candidates with a bachelor's degree.
• Proficiency with a Microsoft Office spreadsheet application.
• Act 34 clearance.

Nice To Haves

• PeopleSoft General Ledger proficiency.
• CPA or MBA.

Responsibilities

• Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Develop financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.
• Perform complex statistical, cost, and financial analysis of reported data.
• Mentor Financial Analysts or administrative staff.
• Analyze complex financial data, identify and define relevant information, and interpret data to assess past financial performance or project financial probabilities.
• Interpret financial transactions and events for users making economic or business decisions.
• Plan and conduct complex studies to determine the cost of business activities.
• Recommend budget adjustments and other cost-improvement measures.
