About The Position

Our client is a leading, innovative energy company seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join their team on a 12-month contract basis. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with 6-10 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting within a large, complex corporate environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting strategic financial decisions and operational planning. This is an on-site position requiring a professional who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and provide actionable financial insights to drive business performance.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, macros) and financial modeling.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong quantitative and analytical abilities with a proven track record of translating data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial audiences.
  • Must be a self-starter, highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • This is an on-site position. Candidates must be able to work at the designated location
  • Must be a US citizen or green card holder
  • Must be a W2 employee (no contractors).

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies, analyzes, and communicates to management the impact on the Company's financial structure, profitability, financial integrity, and competitive position utilizing relevant analytical methods and/or department's forecasting models
  • Provides financial analysis support for various projects, calculating revenue requirements, net present value, customer bill impact, etc.
  • Provides expertise, support, and financial training for the company departments requiring these services
  • Performs financial analyses as required by management or regulatory bodies
  • Prepares PowerPoint presentations to be provided to Senior and Executive Management
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
