About The Position

This role involves performing detailed financial analyses, including financial statements, cost data, and operating/project reports. The Financial Analyst Journeyman will conduct complex calculations, present findings, and make initial assessments for auditors. Key responsibilities include preparing accounting reports and projections, identifying financial trends and risks, and analyzing records of financial institutions. The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting, a minimum of four years of experience as a Financial Analyst, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills. The ability to work with large datasets, manage multiple projects, and maintain high accuracy is essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related labor category field such as Finance or Accounting from an accredited college, university, school, or educational institution recognized by the US Department of Education.
  • Minimum four (4) years recent experience as a Financial Analyst.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Excel to include formatting, VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, formulas, and functions
  • Ability to provide favorable credit history.
  • Demonstrated experience working with large Excel files with pivot tables as required for arranging data and performing in-depth analysis of financial data.
  • Ability to work concurrently on a variety of projects, flexibility in shifting focus.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in preparing work product.
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines under direct supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Performs analyses of financial statements, cost data, operating and project reports.
  • Performs complex calculations, and presents findings as required for each project.
  • Makes initial assessments and recommendations as to areas requiring further review by auditors.
  • Prepare accounting and other required reports and projections based on the analysis performed.
  • Identify financial performance trends and financial risk and make recommendations.
  • Reviews and analyzes the records of financial institutions, such as savings and loan associations, including operating and investment records, and inspection of properties, to make initial identification of areas requiring further analysis.
