About The Position

The Financial Analyst II will work within the Commercial Finance team and be a key business partner supporting Market / Distribution accounts with responsibilities in critical areas supporting P&L management. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated proactivity, thrive in a fast-paced environment & have a drive to expand their knowledge. They will be externally focused and provide business support within Finance, Sales, Marketing, R&D & Commercial leadership.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is required
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of financial experience.
• Will accept 6 years of relevant financial experience in lieu of a degree.
• Strong attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to connect financial results to business drivers and explain what is causing changes in performance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to have the ability to translate complex financial data into clear recommendations for non-Finance partners.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Self-starter with the ability to provide financial support, handling multiple tasks within an open and interactive environment.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet short deadlines.
• Hands-on Excel experience, comfortable analyzing large data sets, utilizing pivot tables & charts, creating graphs, lookups, IF statements, etc.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with P&L management, financial modeling, commercial operations, supply chain, and accounting is highly preferred.
• Understanding of commercial business with experience supporting Sales or Marketing teams through financial insights.
• Understanding of pricing strategy, margin analysis, and profitability improvement.
• SAP and Oracle experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard & ad-hoc reporting for business partners. Leveraging on the job learning of Dawn’s business to drive favorable outcomes based on the reporting generated.
• Support the development of new business analytics to influence key decision making & profitability governance.
• Conduct pricing analyses, driving profitable growth at micro & macro levels.
• Support the Commercial Finance team in delivering strategic & operational support to the commercial team (Sales & Marketing).
• Work closely with Financial Analysts & Commercial Finance Manager on projects throughout the year based on current business needs.
• Develop & leverage your ability to analyze key business drivers & present clear, concise recommendations based on findings to influence business decisions.
• Other duties as assigned
