About The Position

Amentum is looking for a Financial Analyst II to join our team in Las Vegas, NV. You will conduct critical business, economic, and cost-benefit analyses to drive strategic decision-making. This role focuses on researching financial data and developing data-driven forecasts to support organizational efficiency and program control. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive, job-related financial analysis experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Proficiency in integrated financial software, advanced Excel, and standard word processing applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a sharp focus on detail-oriented work.
  • Ability for occasional domestic travel as required by project needs.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
  • US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth financial research to prepare accurate analyses, variance reports, and long-term forecasts.
  • Develop annual budgets for assigned customers.
  • Identify cost variances and overruns, flagging discrepancies to functional and operations managers for further review.
  • Prepare forecasts to support estimates at completion and total funding requirements by CLIN for each customer assigned.
  • Reconcile open commitments with procurement and subcontracts data to ensure foundational data integrity for upcoming forecasts.
  • Design and implement management tools and dashboards to monitor performance and effectively control program budgets.
  • Generate comprehensive reports and dashboards documenting analytical findings for leadership.
  • Coordinate with Accounting to produce accurate invoices for customers.
  • Support all collection efforts.
  • Support monthly financial customer review to include briefing the customer, answering questions, and engaging with operations and functional management to provide a comprehensive financial briefing.
  • Participate in cost proposal development for various construction and targets projects.
  • Track, process, and distribute key financial deliverables while monitoring and resolving any corrective actions.
  • Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
