The Investment Accounting Financial Analyst II plays a critical role in investment accounting operations maintaining the investment accounting subledger. This position is responsible for financial analytics and management reporting that helps to drive informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with financial software, and the ability to manage multiple reporting responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, data manipulation, process improvements through technology.
  • Ability to manipulate and rationalize large datasets.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.
  • Ability to interpret and apply financial and analytical techniques effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Process and reconcile investment trading and cash activity in the investment accounting system
  • Run valuation process and perform related controls
  • Prepare net investment income analysis and management reporting
  • Prepare assigned investment disclosures on STAT and GAAP basis
  • Prepare assigned investment regulatory reports, e.g. Schedule D
  • Assist with audit inquiries both GAAP and STAT
  • Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and company policies.
  • Manage the expectations of both internal and external parties as it relates to deliverables and deadlines.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial systems and reporting methods.
  • Streamline processes by leveraging automation.
  • Collaborate with senior management and functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
  • Ensure data management integrity and control considerations are maintained in financial reporting tools.
  • Use thoughtful judgement with appropriate pushback for reporting redundancies and consolidation.
