About The Position

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for highly detailed accounting of customer-directed supplier processes, with a strong emphasis on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. This role supports compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (Section 404) and BOS (Business Operating System). The analyst must be able to gather information effectively in a complex and fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include completing journal entries and account reconciliations for three separate legal entities, and supporting the annual profit plan and monthly outlook/forecast for these entities. Additionally, the role involves supporting environmental, health, and safety initiatives by promoting a safe workplace, ensuring compliance with OSHA and EPA/TCEQ standards, monitoring for hazardous conditions, and assisting in accident investigations. The analyst must also understand and comply with applicable Customer Specific Requirements (SQAM).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with a major in accounting or equivalent.
  • Two (2) or more years of accounting/financial experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with appropriate software programs.
  • Ability to create visual aids for communication purposes.
  • PC based software knowledge must include word-processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and email-based systems.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals and financial reports.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries from customers and management.

Nice To Haves

  • CMA, CPA, or MBA a plus.
  • Familiarity with HFM, MFG/Pro, SAP, and Monarch preferred or similar related ERP.

Responsibilities

  • Perform highly detailed accounting of customer-directed supplier processes, focusing on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Support compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (Section 404) and BOS (Business Operating System).
  • Complete journal entries and account reconciliations for three separate legal entities.
  • Support the annual profit plan and monthly outlook/forecast for three separate legal entities.
  • Support the protection of the environment, personal safety, prevention of pollution, and continual improvement of the Environmental Management System.
  • Provide leadership to the Finance team in preventing accidents and ensuring compliance with OSHA and EPA/TCEQ standards.
  • Continuously monitor the workplace for hazardous environmental, health, and safety conditions.
  • Ensure environmental, health, and safety hazards are corrected, eliminated, or guarded as related to the Finance team.
  • Assess engineering controls, administrative controls, and PPE on an ongoing basis within the scope of responsibilities.
  • Assist in the investigation of accidents.
  • Stop and prevent unsafe actions, stop the use of unsafe equipment and tools, stop work and/or have employees leave a work area.
  • Understand and comply with all applicable Customer Specific Requirements (SQAM).
