About The Position

The Financial Analyst is responsible for processing, monitoring, and evaluating daily financial reporting activities while ensuring the accuracy of cost estimates, budgets, and the timely completion of the monthly close process. This role serves as the primary financial owner for a designated portfolio of Profit Centers (PCs) within the Healthcare Division, which accounts for approximately 85% of HHS’s total revenue and net income. The Financial Analyst reports directly to the Vice President of Healthcare Finance and collaborates closely with the Financial Reporting Manager, Chief Financial Officer, and other members of senior management to support strategic decision-making and operational performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 2+ years in financial analysis or a similar role
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

  • Compile, analyze, verify, and report accurate financial data to management in a timely manner.
  • Build initial budgets and load forecasts for newly awarded contracts.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and databases to support strategic decision-making.
  • Analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Prepare internal and client-facing cost analyses for new business, contract addenda, and supplemental services.
  • Manage the man-hour scheduling process to ensure alignment with staffing models and Average Wage Rates (AWR).
  • Calculate supplemental billing for services performed outside of base contract scope.
  • Support contractual and non-contractual budget adjustments, including preparation of formal addenda.
  • Monitor real-time labor performance using Salesforce dashboards, identifying variances in AWR and overtime.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly labor accruals and perform reconciliations based on contract thresholds.
  • Escalate urgent financial issues and provide high-level analytics for weekly variance reviews with senior leadership (VPs/EVPs).
  • Lead financial reporting for clients, including preparation and presentation of external reports.
  • Prepare key customer deliverables such as Medicare cost reports and wage summaries.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues impacting financial and operational performance.
