About The Position

School Health Corporation is looking for a driven, detail-oriented Financial Analyst (FP&A) who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and wants to make a meaningful impact across the organization. This role offers high visibility within the finance team, with direct influence on strategy, performance, and growth. The analyst will work directly with the VP of Finance and departmental leaders, gaining exposure to strategic decision-making and business performance. The position emphasizes financial reporting, analysis, and business partnership, with a flexible full-time or part-time schedule and a hybrid work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2-5 years of experience in FP&A, accounting, or financial analysis
  • Strong experience with financial statement preparation and reporting
  • Solid understanding of general ledger and month-end close processes
  • Advanced Excel skills (comfortable digging into data)
  • Ability to translate data into clear, business-focused insights

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
  • Analyze financial results and provide clear, actionable insights to leadership
  • Partner with department leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and performance reviews
  • Perform variance analysis (budget vs. actual) to explain business drivers
  • Monitor cash flow, banking activity, and financial trends
  • Support audit processes and compliance reporting
  • Analyze cost drivers (freight, expenses, etc.) to identify opportunities
  • Maintain financial data, fixed assets, and reporting systems (D365)
  • Prepare and support journal entries and account reconciliations as part of broader reporting responsibilities
  • Build and enhance financial models and reports
  • Contribute to process improvements and special projects
