The Applied AI Solutions Finance team in AWS seeks a Finance Analyst to support our Healthcare and Life Sciences AI solutions businesses. These teams are revolutionizing patient care and how new drugs are formulated and approved. This role offers direct business partnership and will work closely with key business partners, tech leaders, and finance management to support strategy and financial modeling for new solution offerings and contribute to pricing models for AI-native solutions. In addition, the Finance Analyst will support rhythm-of-the-business mechanisms, financial reporting and planning, cost optimization, decision support, and controllership.

Requirements

• 1+ years of finance experience
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science)
• Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
• Knowledge of finance, accounting or related field focused on analytics
• Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
• 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
• 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

Responsibilities

• Supporting strategic financial decisions to drive long-term growth and profitability including contributing to PRFAQ analysis, assisting with pricing strategy development, and evaluating investments in new services and features
• Supporting P&L analysis for Healthcare and Life Sciences AI solutions, including partnering with Product, Engineering, and Sales to assess financial implications of initiatives to accelerate revenue growth, improve profitability, and improve free cash flow
• Analyzing private pricing deal structures to support top line growth while ensuring controllership and margin protection
• Contributing to projects that significantly impact the business including partnering with engineering teams to identify and implement infrastructure cost optimizations
• Supporting the OP1/OP2 and R&O planning processes including developing forecasts and clearly presenting business drivers and narratives to management
• Conducting deep-dive ad hoc analyses and generating insights in Weekly, Quarterly and Monthly Business Reviews to inform business decisions
