About The Position

A leading university is seeking a Financial Analyst 1 to support accounting, financial data analysis, and budgeting within its finance and administration department.

Requirements

3 years of experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, including advanced formula use.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Demonstrated knowledge of financial systems and aptitude to learn new systems.

Nice To Haves

Proficiency with Oracle systems is preferred.
Proficiency with Adaptive Planning is preferred.

Responsibilities

Review, process, gather, and compile accounting transactions, and clear outstanding items.
Prepare and submit journals, and identify and resolve incorrect journal entries, data anomalies, deviations from established procedures, and unusual issues.
Run, maintain, reconcile, review, combine, analyze, and validate financial data sets using financial reports, databases, and key financial information from multiple systems, and assist in preparing basic management information reports.
Support budgeting and forecasting, and perform additional duties as needed.
