The University of Miami's College of Arts and Sciences has an exciting opportunity for a full time Financial Analyst 1 to work in Coral Gables, FL. The Financial Analyst compiles and analyzes financial information for the assigned division(s)/department(s) efficiently and accurately. The Financial Analyst assists management in the decision-making process and strategic planning by presenting relevant financial reports in a clear, concise, and timely manner. Serves as the primary financial analyst supporting multiple academic and administrative units within the Shared Services organization, providing strategic financial guidance and operational support. Collaborates with department leadership to develop, monitor and analyze annual operating budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans while ensuring alignment with institutional policies and priorities. Reviews financial activity across assigned units, identifies budget variances and expenditure trends, and provides recommendations to support sound fiscal decision-making. Assists departments with the preparation and review of financial transactions, including purchase requisitions, budget transfers, journal entries, expense reimbursements, payroll funding changes, and other Workday transactions. Serves as a liaison between assigned departments and central administrative offices, including Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, and Sponsored Programs, to facilitate efficient financial operations and issue resolution.
