About The Position

Manage and oversee the awarding and reporting of state aid programs, including but not limited to: Ohio College Opportunity Grant; Governor’s Merit; Ohio War Orphan Scholarship; Ohio National Guard; Choose Ohio First; and Pennsylvania Grant. Assist with reporting and balancing federal grant funds through the Common Origination and Disbursement ( COD ) system on a monthly basis to ensure institutional compliance with federal guidelines. Participate as a member of the Financial Appeals Committee, process professional judgements, independent overrides, and other atypical situations. Assist with verifying students selected for federal or institutional verification. Assist with the Faculty Staff Tuition waiver process. Assist in the review of revised FAFSA results, review ISIR codes and clear c -codes. Assist with yearly compliance and state audits. Other duties as assigned, including representing the Student Enrollment and Financial Services office at University recruitment and retention events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or in lieu of degree significant equivalent work experience directly related to the job responsibilities.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Federal Title IV regulations, specifically need analysis and verification.
  • Experience in federal and/or state regulatory compliance.
  • Interest in understanding and supporting John Carroll’s mission to inspire individuals to excel in learning, leadership, and service in the region and in the world.
