About The Position

Florida SouthWestern State College is seeking a Financial Aid Specialist I to join their Office of Student Financial Services. This entry-level role involves training in all aspects of the Student Financial Services operation, providing processing support, and disseminating information to students and staff. The position operates under close monitoring from leadership and Senior Specialists, requiring strict adherence to financial aid policies, procedures, and regulations. The role is crucial in establishing a student-centered, high-performance culture focused on service excellence, quality, productivity, and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited College or University in a related field.
• One (1) year full-time or two (2) years part-time professional work experience in an office setting. An appropriate combination of education and experience may be substituted.
• Ability to independently travel to other locations for College business.
• Demonstrated experience using a personal computer, office software such as MS Office, and electronic mail.

Responsibilities
