About The Position
Florida SouthWestern State College is seeking a Financial Aid Specialist I to join their team. This is an entry-level role within the Office of Student Financial Services, where individuals will be trained in all aspects of the operation. The Specialist I will provide processing support and disseminate information to students and staff. This position operates under close monitoring from department leadership and Student Financial Services Specialists II, requiring strict adherence to financial aid policies, procedures, and federal/state regulations. The role is crucial in establishing a student-centered, high-performance culture focused on service excellence, quality, productivity, and high standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited College or University in a related field.
- One (1) year full-time or two (2) years part-time professional work experience in an office setting.
- Ability to independently travel to other locations for College business.
- Demonstrated experience using a personal computer, office software such as MS Office, and electronic mail.
