About The Position

This position works with the Verification Specialist and Verification Program Coordinator to process FAFSA applications selected for verification. The role involves verifying the accuracy of financial aid applicant data and may require communication with students and/or parents to obtain additional information. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is essential, as is the ability to foster collegial and harmonious working relationships.

Requirements

  • Formal education equivalent of a high school diploma.
  • At least one year of experience in a specialized or related area applicable to work performed.
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience working with federal financial aid.
  • Experience using the university student information system and document review programs, such as Perceptive Content.
  • Work experience in ERP systems like PeopleSoft or Workday Student.

Responsibilities

  • Process FAFSA applications that have been selected for the verification process.
  • Verify the accuracy of financial aid applicant’s reported data.
  • Communicate with students and/or parents to request additional required information.
  • Maintain regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance.
  • Create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
