This role involves advising and counseling students, parents, and staff on all aspects of financial aid programs, including federal, state, institutional, and private options. The position also assists with student aid eligibility assessment, funds disbursement, and aid reconciliation. A key part of the role is supporting the Centralized Scholarships Coordinator in administering scholarships and cash awards, serving as a liaison with various university departments and scholarship committees, and monitoring scholarship budgets and recipient eligibility. The counselor will also conduct presentations, assist with admissions scholarship initiatives, and help develop scholarship processes and procedures. Additionally, the role involves processing the FISAP Report, handling inquiries via phone and email, counseling students on student loan debt management and repayment, participating in professional development and customer service activities, and assisting with enrollment and recruitment events.
