About The Position

The Financial Aid Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supervising the comprehensive administration of federal (Title IV), state, institutional, and private financial aid programs, ensuring compliance with regulations established by the U.S. Department of Education, state agencies, and institutional policies. This position supports the operational processes of the Office of Financial Aid (FAO) and supervises assigned personnel. This role also ensures a student-centered service experience aligned with regulatory, financial, and audit standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field relevant to the position.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in functions directly related to the nature of the position.
  • A combination of academic degree, practical experience, and interpersonal skills is required to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position in a professional manner.
  • Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneDrive.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and review office operations based on a solid understanding of service objectives and the evolving needs of students.
  • Participate in orientations for new and continuing students, providing updated information regarding financial aid programs.
  • Establish FAFSA awareness and outreach campaigns each academic year.
  • Supervise staff within the Office of Financial Aid (OFA) at the Miami campus.
  • Ensure the efficient delivery of services provided by the Office of Financial Aid (OFA), guaranteeing that students successfully complete all processes related to financial aid applications, including the FAFSA, Master Promissory Note (MPN), entrance and exit counseling, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a work environment based on mutual respect, effective communication, and teamwork within the OFA, ensuring that this culture is consistently reflected in interactions with other institutional offices.
  • Ensure that all financial aid recipients maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) in accordance with institutional and federal regulations.
