Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience working directly with students and families in Financial Aid
- Working knowledge of Title IV financial aid regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Clear, compassionate communication—written and verbal
- Comfort working with data, calculations, and compliance requirements
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in nuanced or sensitive situations
- A service-oriented mindset with a genuine desire to help others succeed
- Collaborative, accountable, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment

- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted resource for students and families by guiding them through the financial aid process, from FAFSA completion to award packaging.
- Review and analyze financial aid applications to determine eligibility for federal, state, and institutional aid.
- Award and adjust aid packages in compliance with all applicable regulations and policies.
- Counsel students and families through individual appointments, workshops, phone calls, email, and virtual tools.
- Manage verification files, resolve discrepancies, and submit required corrections.
- Evaluate special and unusual circumstances with sound judgment and empathy.
- Collaborate across departments to support enrollment, retention, and student satisfaction.
- Present at orientations, information sessions, and student forums.
- Support exit counseling for students who withdraw or graduate.
- Contribute to team initiatives, continuous improvement efforts, and university events.
