About The Position

Grow your career with a nationally recognized RIA while serving Members of one of New Mexico's premier credit unions. State Employees Credit Union ("State ECU"), a $1.3 billion financial institution serving Members throughout New Mexico, including the greater Albuquerque Metro area, in conjunction with Priority Financial Group (PFG) is seeking a Financial Advisor to join our Team. This position combines the stability of a salaried role with the earning potential and flexibility of an advisory practice. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a relationship-driven, client-first environment. As a Financial Advisor, you'll be embedded within State ECU branches, providing Members with personalized financial planning and investment guidance. You'll receive an active referral stream from branch employees and have opportunities for both branch coverage and an inherited book of business. This is a true growth opportunity. You'll work collaboratively with the Credit Union team to train staff on identifying referral opportunities, conduct member education workshops, and help expand the visibility of the Credit Union's budding investment program. Requirements

  • Licensed Financial Advisor (Series 7 and 66 required)
  • Strong business acumen and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and applicable business systems.
  • Excellent patience, tact, enthusiasm and positive attitude toward the Members and general public.
  • Travel required.
  • Maintain a valid drivers license, and remain insurable.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of client-facing advisory experience preferred
  • CFP® designation is a plus, but not required
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Passion for delivering client-first, fiduciary advice

Responsibilities

  • Providing Members with personalized financial planning and investment guidance.
  • Work collaboratively with the Credit Union team to train staff on identifying referral opportunities.
  • Conduct member education workshops.
  • Help expand the visibility of the Credit Union's budding investment program.
  • Work in a safety conscious manner which ensures that safe work practices are used in order not to pose a risk to self or others in the workplace.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures and local, state and federal regulations.
