This position serves as a core member of the Bureau of Financial Services (BFS) leadership team and blends technical data skills with applied accounting knowledge to oversee operations, make important decisions, strengthen internal controls, and enhance process efficiency. The position manages the following work units and their team members: Grants Administration and Federal Reporting – Process draws and perform related reconciliations for the agency’s federal programs including Florida’s Medicaid program. Coordinate the preparation and submission of all federal funds related reports including the Statewide Expenditures of Federal Awards. Coordinate responses for inquiries and findings related to federal audits and perform follow-up and corrective actions. Revenue Management – Administer and manage revenue activities including receipts, depositing, recording, and reconciliation. Maintain and process collection of the agency’s accounts receivables generated from participating in the Florida’s Medicaid program and activities related to regulated health care facilities and related delinquent accounts. Coordinate the preparation and submission of all related reports including those pertain to debt collections. Trust Funds – Monitor the agency’s trust funds to ensure compliance with laws and rules and provide follow-up activities to ensure funds are appropriately budgeted, received, expended, and recorded. Assist with the preparation of related documents and reports including trust fund analyses and Schedule I’s. Assist with special projects and perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
