About The Position

TJX Companies is seeking students for a Semester Co-op in their Accounting Department. This role offers the opportunity to make an impact, contribute to a specific team, and gain hands-on experience in preparing and owning financial statements, operational reporting, and ad hoc analysis. The co-op will work in a challenging, collaborative, team-based environment with an inclusive culture. Successful completion may lead to future offers. The position operates under a hybrid work model.

Requirements

Current juniors
Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Genuine interest in a Corporate Accounting career
Must be available to full-time from January – June 2027
Strong communication skills
Experience working with numbers
Ability to work in a team setting as well as individually
A high level of curiosity
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Detail oriented
Proficiency in Excel (i.e. PivotTables, lookup functions (xlookup, vlookup), index/match functions, sumif/countif, etc.)
Must be available to full-time from January – June 2027
Reliable transportation is required as TJX is not easily accessible to public transportation.

Responsibilities

Hands-on training with guided mentorship
Monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliation activities
Producing schedules and reporting for informed business decisions
Creating accurate financials and maintaining sound internal controls
Collaborating with experienced financial professionals on assigned projects
Performing analysis projects
Contributing to ongoing projects for process improvements or enhanced analysis
Working cross-functionally with other areas of TJX (Store Operations, HR, Real Estate, Marketing)
Creating presentations, reports, and communications for Senior Management
