Financial Accounting Analyst Senior
About The Position
The Financial Accounting Analyst Senior is responsible for providing technical leadership and setting strategic direction of projects. This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office. Candidates not within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s) will not be considered for employment, unless an accommodation is granted as required by law.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Accounting or Finance, or related field
- A minimum of 5 years experience in general accounting, finance or budgeting and planning in a large for profit organization
- Any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Nice To Haves
- CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manages close processes, related analysis and reporting.
- May lead teams of associates.
- Reviews and approves journal entries and reconciliations.
- Prepares and reviews monthly and quarterly financial reports and complex analysis.
- Designs research plans for data gathering and analysis and manages projects to deadlines.
- Responsible for initiation and resolution of complex accounting problems requiring technical expertise.
- Mentors, trains, and coaches lower level accountants.
