We are seeking a Financial Analyst for our First Quality Tissue Enterprises office in Great Neck, NY, to provide transactional and analytical support for general accounting and financial reporting processes, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and assist with accounting/financial projects.

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Typically requires 1-3 years of related experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in ERP systems such as SAP
  • Knowledge of US GAAP basic principles and elements of internal controls
  • Understanding of manufacturing accounting environment
  • Financial Analysis /Financial Forecasting
  • Experience working independently and leading complex projects

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting monthly close activities, including creation and entry of all general ledger journal entries and timely drafting of financial statements and related schedules.
  • Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Responsible for the preparation, coordination and documentation of financial analysis projects such as financial and expense performance, depreciation, and working capital.
  • Participates in intercompany initiatives to enhance financial reporting, strengthen standardization of financial processes, and enhance policy documentation and internal controls.
  • Provides analysis for forward-looking financial and business-related projects. Prepares budgets/forecasts and analysis of trends in manufacturing, sales, finance, general business conditions, and other related areas.
  • Provide financial support and analytics to a wide range of individuals and departments throughout the organization.
  • Responsible for oversight of the approval and payment of invoices, resolving any Procure-to-Pay issues, and developing processes to improve and automate the process.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative nature.
  • Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project or leads projects.
