About The Position

The Financial Accounting Analyst Senior prepares and supports oversight of the company’s financial records, including financial close, analysis, research, and reporting. The role also provides project leadership. Associates work in-office 1–2 days per week, with virtual work flexibility; candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of an office unless an accommodation is granted as required by law.

Requirements

BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in general accounting, finance, or budgeting and planning in a large for-profit organization; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

CPA, CMA, or MBA.
Experience with Oracle PeopleSoft, Deltek Costpoint, IBM Cognos, and Microsoft Excel.
Experience supporting audits.
Previous experience with month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and federal government contracting accounting principles.

Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and approve journal entries and account reconciliations.
Manage close processes, related analysis, and reporting.
Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial reports and complex analyses.
Initiate and resolve complex accounting problems requiring technical expertise.
Provide technical leadership and set strategic direction for projects.
Design research plans for gathering and analyzing data, and manage projects to deadlines.
May lead teams of associates.
Mentor, train, and coach lower-level accountants.
Monitor, update, and track policies and procedures.
