About The Position

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced and analytical Financial Accountant to join their Oil & Gas Pipeline client. This role is responsible for preparing and supporting monthly operational cost reports, ensuring their accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. The individual will also collaborate with the wider business to aggregate financial information for documentation, review, and communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven 2-5 years of post-grad experience in financial analysis and reporting, or related role.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to various stakeholders.
• Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in analyzing data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines under pressure.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in SAP and Ariba is a plus.
• Experience utilizing data visualization tools like Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Track financial performance against budget monthly and annually
• Manage and update monthly forecasts and provide variation reports
• Reconcile actuals vs. forecasted amounts per month
• Review and track project financial performance
• Sox control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
