About The Position

Our Atlanta office is looking for a highly motivated team member with a strong background in accounting, treasury management and financial reporting. Candidate must have excellent communication and organizational skills, plus be able to work with people at all levels of the firm. This position performs a wide range of responsibilities and must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality. This position will report to our Director of Business Services.

Requirements

  • 5 – 10 years practical and varied on the job accounting experience.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities, deadlines and interact effectively with others in the workplace is an essential function of the job.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Excellent computer skills and advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in the Professional Services industry necessary
  • Ability to prioritize and to use appropriate judgment

Nice To Haves

  • MBA preferred but not required.
  • Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for selected balance sheet, payroll and income statement journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Review all GL accounts monthly for accuracy of transaction reporting against operating budget categories and targets
  • Primary liaison with the firm’s tax and audit provider, supplying accounting reports and information as needed for compliance
  • Provide overflow, vacation and emergency backup to the AP and Payroll manager
  • Forecast and monitor cash flow weekly
  • Reconcile bank operating accounts monthly
  • Work with the Treasurer to secure adequate working capital access through bank lines of credit and other arrangements
  • Working with the Business Unit Directors, prepare the annual firmwide operating budget for review and approval by the Board of Directors
  • Prepare and present monthly accounting and financial reporting and analysis to the Operations Committee and Board.
  • Ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed for firm initiatives such as new office leases, strategic planning, insurance renewals, etc.
