About The Position

This role is responsible for providing friendly, fast, and helpful customer service while performing essential accounting duties. The Financial Accountant will complete monthly journal entries, general ledger analysis, and account reconciliations. They will also assist in the preparation and distribution of monthly financial statements, aid in reporting, and provide information to auditors. Additionally, the role involves performing monthly inventory accounting, including physical counts and reconciliation of daily activity. Adherence to all policies, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and performing duties in a safe and responsible manner are crucial. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities but requires the ability to perform other compatible duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance related field from an accredited four-year college or university required or currently pursuing.
  • Three (3) year Accounting experience required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of financial software systems.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Self-motivated; ability to operate effectively under pressure.
  • Professional appearance and impeccable integrity.
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain appropriate gaming license.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Must be able to efficiently and accurately count money and gaming chips and make change.
  • Possess the ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Team members must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, fast, and helpful customer service to all guests and team members.
  • Complete monthly journal entries, general ledger analysis and account reconciliations as assigned.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of monthly financial statements and general ledger detail to management.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, and provides information to internal and external auditors as necessary.
  • Perform monthly inventory accounting including physical inventory counts and reconciling daily activity.
  • Adhere to regulatory, department and company policies.
  • Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris and litter.
  • Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Perform other job related and compatible duties as assigned.
