About The Position

The Stellantis Finance Student Program offers a unique opportunity for students to gain year-round experience in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment. Students will work collaboratively with financial analysts and cross-functional team members, spending a significant portion of their day on the plant floor interacting with various departments to resolve operating issues. This program allows students to apply classroom learning in real-world settings, take on increasing responsibility, and contribute meaningfully to the organization. Assignments are project-oriented and designed to provide valuable contributions and insights into the corporate business culture through work assignments, structured activities, and networking events.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher majoring in Finance, Accounting, or similar discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Currently a Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior at an accredited college or university at the time of hire
  • Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university at the time of hire
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint & Excel
  • Ability to work 24 hours per week, year-round

  • Previous internship or accounting/finance related work experience
  • Good working knowledge of accounting principles, methods and techniques

Responsibilities

  • Forecasting
  • Capitalization and disposal of assets
  • Assisting in ad hoc analysis
  • Collaborating with operating management and Corporate Finance and Accounting teams
  • Working as part of a team responsible for the accurate and timely processing of asset accounting activities for Manufacturing facilities in the greater Detroit area
  • Providing accounting support to operating and finance staffs for asset capitalization, transfers, and disposals, asset reuse and useful life adjustments
  • Controlling asset master record creation as well as asset master changes for assigned operating groups
  • Coordinating and monitoring month end closing activities performed by external accounting services provider for assigned plants
  • Maintaining compliance with internal controls over asset accounting
  • Performing analysis, reporting and studies as required by leadership
  • Prepare monthly accrual JV's to accurately report period costs
  • Ad hoc assignments as needed by Manufacturing Finance
