About The Position

The Finance Department at Aramco Americas is offering a Summer Student Program for students in Finance, Accounting, and Business disciplines. The Finance team is responsible for providing high-quality, timely, and cost-effective management information and analysis, along with a system of effective controls to support Aramco Americas' mission and objectives. This program provides opportunities within both the Controller's Division (Accounting) and the Treasurer's Division (Finance).

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship or co-op experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems.
  • Understanding of financial regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with seasonal administrative and compliant workload in the Controller's Division, including Corporate Tax duties (local tax returns, administrative duties), Financial Accounting (annual capital asset inventory), Payroll (transitioning active employee files to an electronic platform), Benefit Plan support (preparation and review of annual benefit plan financial statements and supporting schedules), and Risk Management (periodic review of vendor profiles).
  • Perform specific treasury functions in the Treasurer's Division, including finance, banking, and investments.
  • Assist in the reconciliation and administration of records and data related to benefit plan trust, funding, and investment activities.
  • Perform Treasury functions primarily related to pension administration and support.
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual benefit plan audit of the Savings Plan (401k), RIP, and Retiree Medical Payment Plan, including reviewing and reconciling expenses, accruals, rebates, and other transactions.
  • Review and compile data for the preparation of various regulatory filings.
  • Reconcile investment statements.
  • Perform other Treasury duties as assigned.
