About The Position

The Finance Specialist II provides comprehensive financial management and analytical support to the Cornell Duffield College of Engineering, working closely with Department Business Administrators, faculty, and staff to ensure effective financial operations and compliance with University policies. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field and 2 to 4 years relevant experience or equivalent combination of progressive financial management experience
  • Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong collaborative and team-working abilities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Experience in higher education financial management
  • Knowledge of federal grant management
  • Advanced Excel and database management skills
