About The Position

The Finance Soft Count Clerk is responsible for accurately counting, verifying, and recording the contents of various revenue sources including slot drop boxes, bill validator boxes, table games drop boxes, and non-gaming revenue. This role requires strict adherence to regulatory laws, company policies, and safety procedures. The clerk will operate computer systems, currency counters, and specific software, while being able to rotate duties across different count stations. A key aspect of the role is promoting a safe, clean, and healthy work environment, ensuring equipment is handled safely, and maintaining excellent internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior. The position requires flexibility to work as scheduled and as needed until the count is completed, effective communication skills, and a professional, positive attitude towards coworkers. Maintaining healthy hygiene habits is also important due to working in a confined space with others.

Requirements

  • Operate a 10-key adding machine.
  • Count money.
  • Detail and team-oriented.
  • High School Diploma or GED or Ten (10) years of experience.
  • Ability to work in a small, confined area under a stringent work schedule.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods in a noisy environment.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver 5 to 10-pound objects.
  • Ability to maneuver 1,500-pound drop cart(s).
  • Effective communication skills to interact with co-workers, listening and responding appropriately while performing workstation standards.
  • Requires a High-Security Gaming License clearance.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Counts, verifies, and records the contents of each slot drop box, bill validator box, Table games drop box, and non-gaming revenue.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc.
  • Operates computer systems, currency counters, and Oasis software.
  • Rotates and performs duties at each count station as assigned.
  • Promotes a clean, safe, and healthy work environment and promptly reports concerns to Supervisor.
  • Ensures that the operation of equipment, tools, and materials is handled safely.
  • Promotes internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior.
  • Works flexibly as scheduled and/or needed, until the count is completed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Utilizes effective communication skills to interact with coworkers, listen, and respond appropriately when performing workstation standards.
  • Maintains a professional demeanor and a positive attitude toward coworkers.
  • Practices healthy hygiene habits due to working in a confined space with others.
