About The Position

Rubb Building Systems designs, manufactures, and installs steel-framed, fabric-clad buildings for customers across a wide range of industries. The Finance & Risk Analyst protects profitability and reduces risk by independently analyzing project costs, evaluating contractual and operational exposure, determining the significance of identified issues, and recommending corrective actions and risk-mitigation strategies to management.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, risk management, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
Three or more years of experience in project accounting, cost or financial analysis, contract administration, insurance, or bonding; experience in project-based manufacturing, construction, or installation preferred.
Knowledge of project cost controls, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of Power BI, including dashboard creation and data visualization.
Ability to interpret financial and contractual information, assess risk, exercise independent judgment, and make well-supported recommendations to management.
Ability to prioritize competing assignments, determine follow-up, meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

Audit T&M and T&M Not-to-Exceed projects, with emphasis on site installation activity.
Review labor, equipment, travel, crane, subcontractor, and other installation costs for accuracy and contract compliance.
Compare actual and committed costs with budgets and forecasts; investigate variances, assess their financial and operational impact, and recommend actions to address cost, billing, and margin risks.
Validate documentation supporting customer billings and project cost reporting.
Maintain Power BI dashboards and reports covering installation performance, cost trends, billing status, and project profitability.
Lead post-project financial reviews, identify recurring cost and margin issues, and recommend improvements to estimating, budgeting, execution, and reporting practices.
Develop and maintain Project Cost Budgets (PCBs) and Job Sheets, tracking approvals and follow-up to ensure accurate project records.
Analyze assumptions, exclusions, and risks during estimate-to-budget handoffs; resolve routine discrepancies and recommend action on material issues.
Analyze project performance, committed costs, remaining exposure, and forecasted results.
Support cash flow forecasting, monthly financial reporting, and KPI development.
Maintain accurate forecasts and cost data for revenue recognition and percentage-of-completion analyses.
Analyze customer and subcontract agreements for payment, insurance, bonding, change order, warranty, indemnification, and other commercial risks; recommend revisions, exceptions, or mitigation measures.
Monitor contract terms, billing requirements, change order procedures, and deliverables; issue, collect, and archive warranties, operations manuals, and other project close-out documents.
Evaluate contractual obligations and deadlines, assess potential noncompliance or financial exposure, and advise stakeholders on corrective action or escalation.
Support internal controls and delegation-of-authority requirements.
Coordinate project bond requests, provide insurance certificate information, and maintain insurance and bonding records.
Work with sureties, brokers, carriers, and advisors on project needs, renewals, and underwriting submissions.
Evaluate project insurance and bonding requirements, identify material gaps or exposure, recommend mitigation measures, and coordinate claims documentation.
Manage supplier and subcontractor qualification, contract flow-downs, customer forms, certifications, and related compliance records.
Assess supplier and subcontractor risk, evaluate compliance and financial concerns, recommend controls or corrective actions, and monitor ongoing compliance.
Manage customer and supplier portals, vendor documentation, registrations, certifications, and organized compliance records.
Monitor reporting requirements, support state tax documentation, and assist with audits, customer reviews, and regulatory inquiries.
