About The Position

Woodward is looking for a Finance Program Manager to join their team. This role is accountable for the planning, directing, and execution of local and/or global development projects. The Finance Program Manager will actively engage with stakeholders to understand, document, and execute objectives to ensure project success. They will report to the Director of Program Management and will utilize their full resources and effort to continuously monitor and improve global projects in terms of deliverables, including contractual and business objectives, while ensuring customer satisfaction. The role involves utilizing Agile and Hybrid strategies for all projects, monitoring and maintaining project costs, and using continuous improvement methodologies to enhance project management tools and systems. Requirements

  • Expertise in program management, including the ability to develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Ability to lead and interact with cross-functional teams, including working with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Expertise in financial analysis and modeling, including the ability to analyze complex financial data and develop financial forecasts and budgets.
  • In-depth knowledge of the company's business, industry, and market trends, including a deep understanding of financial performance drivers.
  • Proficiency in financial software, Excel, and other analytical tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including senior management, investors, and external partners.
  • Knowledge of financial risk management strategies, including the ability to identify and assess financial risks and develop strategies to manage and mitigate those risks.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial reporting requirements, including GAAP and SEC regulations, and the ability to prepare financial reports and disclosures.
  • Ability to prepare and analyze budgets and forecasts for the program, including revenue, expenses, and capital expenditures.
  • Project management experience in an Agile or PLC environment or closely related field.
  • 5+ years of previous program management experience (in engineering/manufacturing or finance).

Nice To Haves

  • US – master’s degree in arts/sciences (MA/MS) - preferred
  • PgMP (Program Management Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional) – preferred or agreed to achieve within 2 years of hire
  • Greenbelt Certification – preferred

Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing finance-related programs and initiatives, including developing project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including senior management, investors, and external partners.
  • Providing financial guidance and support to other departments within the organization.
  • Leading the development of financial plans, forecasts, and budgets for the program.
  • Analyzing financial data and creating financial models to support strategic decision-making.
  • Identifying and assessing financial risks to the program and developing strategies to manage and mitigate those risks.
  • Ensuring that the program's financial reports and statements are accurate, complete, and compliant with accounting standards and regulations.
