About The Position

Under the direction of the Finance Manager Commercial Strategy, this role generates and analyzes financial information. The Finance Principal Analyst will analyze, report, and present production variances including price variance, material variance, scrap discrepancies, and labor/burden spend and volume variances. This role partners with Operations, customer teams, and HR to develop PowerBI reports to build business understanding, monthly reporting, forecasting, and ad hoc requests. The analyst will provide analysis and explanation of financial results, monitor and report financial performance, and explain variances to budgets, forecasts, and prior year. Preparation and presentation of consolidated reports to management are also key responsibilities. The role assists in the automation of reports, analysis, and other synergies in PowerBI and Excel. Additionally, the analyst will track sales performance, providing detailed analysis of variances, prepare and analyze quarterly revenue recognition calculations, and assist others in gathering information from IFS, SAP, or JDE. Support with analysis and development of FY standard costs, and assist PLM and commercial teams with pricing of new products, NBO opportunities, or pricing changes due to tariff or cost changes are also part of the role. The Finance Principal Analyst will assist the Dir of Finance and management with projects, and perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or finance
  • 8+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers or others in the organization.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
