We are looking for a Finance and Planning Manager to join and support our Distribution teams located in Houston, TX and San Antonio, TX. In this role, you will partner with business leaders across the Distribution business in sales, operations, and supply chain driving operational excellence using problem solving, financial and analytical skills. Our focus is to move beyond finance and planning, providing the right level of information and decision making to execute business strategy and ensure top quartile performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Five years of experience in financial or manufacturing operations.
  • Comfortable working with sales, operations, finance, and accounting teams
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead and manage change
  • Working knowledge of cost accounting, financial systems, and internal controls
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Account Principles
  • Excellent PC skills. Specifically, strong Excel user

Responsibilities

  • Support warehouse, transportation, and sales teams to deliver sustainable top quartile results
  • Accountable for all financial aspects for the sites. This includes but is not limited to monthly reporting, annual planning, and capital analysis
  • Owns and monitors internal control environment to ensure it is operating effectively
  • Actively involved in strategic discussions and ad-hoc coaching sessions with site lead team
  • Understands complex concepts and knows how to communicate a simple message
  • Uses business knowledge, data, and analysis to identify and share opportunities
  • Proactively provides meaningful information that highlights the “so what” to support decision making
  • Inquisitive, curious, and focused on details to identify anomalies and opportunities
