About The Position

As a Finance Operations Associate at DashQ, you will help keep our financial operations organized, accurate, and running smoothly. This is a hands-on role focused on the day-to-day execution of finance processes, including invoicing, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, expense tracking, subscriptions, and month-end support. You will work closely with senior finance leadership, internal teams, and external partners to maintain reliable financial processes, improve workflows, and support reporting. This role is ideal for someone with 2-3 years of relevant experience who is detail-oriented, comfortable with numbers, and excited to grow in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in finance operations, accounting support, bookkeeping, accounts receivable, or a similar role.
  • Hands-on experience using QuickBooks Online is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers, spreadsheets, and recurring financial processes.
  • Working knowledge of accounting and financial operations principles; formal accounting designation is not required.
  • Ability to stay organized, prioritize effectively, and follow through in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort collaborating across teams and communicating clearly with non-finance stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting month-end processes, payroll coordination, invoicing, or reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with workplace and operational tools such as Asana, Float, and Google Workspace.
  • Experience in a startup, SaaS, or high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day finance operations with a focus on accuracy, organization, and process consistency.
  • Prepare and manage client invoicing, track accounts receivable, and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and clients to resolve billing questions and maintain accurate records.
  • Track company subscriptions and vendor payments, and help identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary spend.
  • Support payroll and benefits administration by maintaining records, coordinating with HR and external providers, and helping ensure timely processing.
  • Assist with budget tracking, cash flow monitoring, and spend reporting.
  • Support month-end close activities, including reconciliations, variance tracking, and reporting preparation.
  • Work with external accountants and finance leadership to help prepare documentation for tax filings, financial reviews, and other compliance-related activities.
  • Help improve finance workflows, documentation, and internal controls as the company grows.
  • Willingness to work in person at our office 4-5 days per week.
