About The Position
The Finance Officer provides accounting services such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue operations, analyses, reports, financial advice and support to clients, and other assigned administration duties. This role operates in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), financial and applicable legislation, policies, procedures, control processes and collective agreements, to ensure quality financial and client services, in accordance with the financial and service goals of the Government of Nunavut.
Requirements
- Must be a resident of Iqaluit.
- Proficiency in generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Knowledge of financial and applicable legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Understanding of control processes and collective agreements.
Responsibilities
- Provides accounting services such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue operations.
- Conducts analyses and prepares reports.
- Offers financial advice and support to clients.
- Performs other assigned administration duties.
