About The Position

High Scale is a rapidly growing video advertising agency focused on TV and social media. The company is seeking a Finance Manager to bring structure, visibility, and financial discipline to its next stage of growth. This role is crucial for strengthening financial systems, improving forecasting, and providing greater insight into business performance. The Finance Manager will own core financial operations, collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, profitability, and financial planning. This is a hands-on position requiring both financial expertise and a strategic, problem-solving mindset to support sustainable scaling.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Finance, Accounting, FP&A, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a finance management or senior finance position preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheets, cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience with accounting or ERP systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar platforms.
  • Comfortable working in an environment where priorities evolve and new challenges appear quickly.
  • Ability to take initiative without needing constant direction.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an agency, professional services, BPO, shared services, or high-growth company is a strong advantage.
  • CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent qualification is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience building financial dashboards or using BI tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and management reports.
  • Ensure financial information is accurate, timely, and useful for decision-making.
  • Analyze actual performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying significant variances and communicating insights to leadership.
  • Manage annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes, developing revenue, expense, headcount, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Partner with department leaders to develop and manage departmental budgets and update forecasts as business conditions change.
  • Build financial models to support strategic decisions and growth initiatives.
  • Maintain short- and long-term cash flow forecasts, monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections, and payment cycles.
  • Identify potential cash flow issues and improve working capital and cash management processes.
  • Provide leadership with clear visibility into the company’s financial position.
  • Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, and profitability across the business.
  • Identify unnecessary spending and opportunities to improve financial efficiency.
  • Partner with department leaders to establish stronger cost controls and accountability.
  • Evaluate vendor costs, operating expenses, and major investments.
  • Develop reporting that helps leadership understand where and how the company makes money.
  • Improve accounting and finance workflows, controls, and documentation, establishing clear SOPs for financial processes.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive finance and reporting tasks.
  • Ensure accurate financial records and proper documentation.
  • Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, tax professionals, and other financial partners.
  • Develop dashboards for visibility into key financial metrics and establish recurring financial reporting for leadership.
  • Track departmental performance against budgets and financial targets.
  • Turn financial data into clear, actionable business insights.
  • Work directly with leadership on financial planning and business decisions, providing financial analysis for new initiatives, hiring decisions, investments, and operational changes.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities proactively.
  • Present recommendations clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
