About The Position

First Quality Retail Services is seeking a Finance Manager. This position is responsible for ensuring proper application of internal and external accounting requirements across all business processes & functions used in the development of financial statements. Lead and develop a team of finance professionals, use effective communication to improve business results and meet strategic company objectives.

Requirements

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5-7+ years of relevant job experience in an Accounting or Finance role, including a minimum of three years in a supervisory role.

Nice To Haves

• MBA, CPA, and/or CMA preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and approve journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and perform variance analysis and communication.
• Generate accurate and timely monthly financial statements.
• Provide oversight to Accounts Payable for problem solving and process improvements.
• Evaluate weekly payment proposals for accuracy.
• Monitor changes to business practices ensuring appropriate internal controls exist.
• Business partner providing guidance and training on accounting matters to other business functions such as Procurement, Engineering, and Operations.
• Drive process improvements, communicate cost savings opportunities and spending issues.
• Owner of annual budget templates and upload process.
• Coach, mentor, and develop a team of financial professionals.
• Additional duties as assigned.
