Finance Manager

StravaSan Francisco, CA
$155,000 - $165,000Hybrid

About The Position

This is a high-impact opportunity to drive the financial picture behind one of Strava's most important growth areas at a pivotal moment in the company's journey. As Strava scales toward its next chapter as a global consumer subscription business, you'll shape how we understand and invest behind a core part of the business, partnering with senior leaders and building the analysis behind the company's most important financial decisions. The role sits within the Product Finance pillar of our FP&A team, which partners with leaders across the business to guide the company's growth. The pillar covers the core drivers of Strava Group's financial performance, with a primary focus on revenue and marketing investments. As part of the Product Finance team within FP&A, you will drive the analysis behind a core part of Strava's subscription business — building and maintaining the revenue models, monitoring performance, and developing the recommendations that inform how the forecast is set. You will partner closely with key stakeholders across the business — including teammates across our San Francisco and London offices — to translate data into clear, actionable insight, and you will give senior leadership visibility into the trends that shape the business, with the opportunity to influence decisions at the executive level. We follow a flexible hybrid model that translates to more than half of your time on-site in our San Francisco office, three days per week. This role includes occasional travel to London on an as-needed basis (approximately twice a year).

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in finance or a related analytical field, such as corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting
  • Exceptional cross-functional partnership and coordination skills, including experience keeping distributed stakeholders aligned across time zones (our London office is a key partner to this role)
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with experience building and maintaining driver-based models
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex financial information for a range of audiences
  • A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, takes ownership, and manages competing priorities in a high-growth environment

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key finance partner for a core area of the business, building deep fluency in its drivers and acting as a trusted point of contact for its leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Monitor and analyze business performance, identify trends, and translate findings into clear recommendations for senior management
  • Build and maintain driver-based financial models across multiple time horizons
  • Drive visibility into core business trends for senior leadership, influencing decisions at the executive level
  • Partner cross-functionally to turn financial analysis into strategic decisions, surfacing performance and investment trade-offs for key stakeholders
