About The Position

The Commercial Engines finance organization has an exciting opportunity to be part of the ACEP (Advanced Commercial Engine Programs) organization in East Hartford, Connecticut. The role provides financial guidance and oversight to upcoming engine programs and technologies, leading the way for the next steps in commercial engines. This position plays an integral role in proposal support, the financial management of ACEP, inventory, and E&D (engineering & development) spend. This role provides a unique opportunity to work across a wide variety of organizations within PW including, but not limited to, the ACEP program office, engineering finance, partnership finance, accounting, GTF FP&A, and CE FP&A.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 8+ years of experience in accounting or finance; OR an advanced degree in Accounting or Finance and 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on cross-functional teams.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to access to restricted systems/tools.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee contract invoicing processes to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
  • Create and maintain project structures within financial and operational systems.
  • Provide financial support for proposals, including cost development and analysis.
  • Support proposal approval workflows and compliance with internal governance.
  • Coordinate and support external project audits, ensuring availability and accuracy of documentation.
  • Lead project closeout activities, including reconciliation and final financial reporting.
  • Provide IPMT (Integrated Program Management Team) financial support.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly E&D actuals, including forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Support long‑range planning (LRP) activities for E&D.
  • Develop, forecast, and track ACEP-related capital items.
  • Support tax-related financial requirements and internal/external inquiries.
  • Manage and deliver monthly CDRLs in accordance with contract requirements.
