About The Position

The Finance Manager position with NewEdge Capital is a newly established role that will have direct exposure to NewEdge’s senior management. The Finance Manager should expect to spend the majority of their time driving forward FP&A objectives and working closely with senior members of the FP&A team to execute key initiatives. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to own the analysis, not just oversee it. Location: This is a hybrid position reporting to the Pittsburgh, PA office 3 days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business or Finance.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, FP&A, and/or corporate finance.
  • Confident self-starter, with the competence and experience to work directly with executives and senior management.
  • Very strong analytical skills, strategic thinking and decision-making ability.
  • Strong finance background and acumen including analyzing and forecasting the three financial statements.
  • High level of skill in financial modeling
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail; ability to work in a conscientious, consistent, and thorough manner.
  • Ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment.
  • High level of interpersonal skills & ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex analysis into clear takeaways for senior audiences.
  • Commitment to data integrity and continuous improvement of data quality and QC processes.
  • Advanced skills in Excel including complex financial modeling.
  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence reporting tools such as Microsoft Dynamics and Power BI is a plus.
  • Experience in the financial services sector, including asset & wealth management is a plus.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to drive efficiency and insight in financial analysis, reporting, and workflow automation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the effort in monitoring, analyzing trends, and improving KPIs across the firm.
  • Assist in monitoring and analyzing trends in company financials, identifying causes of variances, etc.
  • Manage the development of (and continually improve) the budgeting and financial forecasting process.
  • Guide the development of monthly and quarterly financial and operating packages as well as materials for the Board of Directors.
  • Support the senior management team and department heads with data-driven analysis.
  • Take on significant responsibility within the finance group, owning both new and existing initiatives end to end and coordinating directly with senior management and executives.
  • Potential to take on direct supervisory responsibility as the finance team grows.
