About The Position

The Finance Manager will be responsible for developing and managing budgets, leading the invoicing analysis team, and advising leadership on financial analysis results. This role involves minimizing company demurrage exposure, managing accounts receivable, and comparing actual results with plans and forecasts. The Finance Manager will also create financial analysis processes, reconcile and audit accounts, develop analysis tools, and provide financial modeling and valuation support for business projects. Additionally, the role requires creating monthly financial analysis reports, generating ad-hoc reports, and performing other required duties.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years’ experience in the Finance and Accounting Industry preferred
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Finance, Economics, or Accounting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage budgets for multiple parts of the organization
  • Lead invoicing analysis team

  • Minimize company demurrage exposure by managing and fully understanding vessel laytimes
  • Manages company account receivable process
  • Compares and analyzes actual results with plans and forecasts
  • Creates financial analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques and recommending actions
  • Reconciles and audits accounts as assigned
  • Develops, supports, and maintains analysis tools for use in business applications
  • Provides financial modeling, financial analysis and valuation support for business projects
  • Creates monthly financial analysis reports for review by business leadership
  • Generate ad-hoc reporting on operational or financial performance
  • Perform other duties as required
