Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of dealership Finance Manager experience required
  • Strong understanding of automotive financing, lender guidelines, dealership processes, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, customer service, writing, and typing skills
  • Team-oriented, flexible, ethical, and committed to delivering a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment screening, which may include background check, motor vehicle record review, drug test, and verification of a valid driver’s license
  • Must be eligible for coverage under the dealership’s insurance policy

Responsibilities

  • Structure finance and lease transactions in accordance with lender guidelines, dealership policies, and applicable regulations.
  • Review credit applications, conduct credit interviews, verify material information, and submit complete and accurate applications to lenders.
  • Present financing options, credit insurance, service contracts, and other available products to customers in a clear, compliant, and professional manner.
  • Ensure all deal documents, funding packages, contracts in transit, deposits, and related logs are completed accurately and promptly.
  • Communicate problem deals, missing stipulations, funding delays, or compliance concerns to management immediately.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information and adhere to professional, ethical, and regulatory standards, including applicable state finance regulations and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with lenders and stay informed of current lender programs, guidelines, and updates.
  • Evaluate lender programs and make recommendations to management to support dealership performance and customer needs.
  • Train and support sales and administrative team members on finance processes, funding package requirements, compliance updates, and documentation standards.
  • Partner with sales, accounting, management, and other departments to support smooth deal flow and timely funding.
  • Maintain an organized office, accurate records, and required logs related to finance activity.
  • Assist with inventory movement, customer support, and vehicle demonstrations as business needs require.
