About The Position

The Selling Partner Services (SPS) team operates the business, technology and seller services that make Amazon the best place on Earth for 3rd party sellers to start and grow a global business. Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) manages selection from the factory floor to the customer door, allowing sellers to leverage Amazon’s global fulfillment network. The mission of WW FBA is to enable the long-term success of sellers by building best-in-class processes and tools that make FBA the simplest, most reliable and profitable channel. The store has enabled sellers of all sizes and origins to compete in an evolving global market, serving tens of millions of items to customers globally. This role is for a Finance Manager to lead the FP&A space for 3rd party sellers who use FBA. The Finance Manager will partner closely with FBA senior leadership, fee strategy, and teams focused on lowering costs and improving seller experience. Collaboration with other internal finance teams, controllership, and corporate finance is essential to ensure smooth planning and reporting cycles, clear financial storytelling, and proper P&L analysis. The successful candidate will possess a controllership mindset, focus on improving mechanisms, and demonstrate effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional and cross-regional stakeholders. Strong analytical background, effective business partnership, and the ability to deliver results in an ambiguous, fast-paced, and dynamic environment are crucial. The candidate must be able to communicate and collaborate effectively to understand topline and cost drivers and deliver high-quality insights to senior leaders to influence fee strategy.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience

Nice To Haves

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Responsibilities

  • Drive the core financial process for WW FBA including Month-end close, annual operating plans, 3-year strategic plan, long range plan and Monthly/Quarterly business reviews
  • Generate insights from financial data, identify opportunities for greater efficiency, and communicate findings with the leadership team to drive business actions
  • Build and maintain in depth knowledge of 3rd party seller related initiatives, challenges and opportunities across the business
  • Stretch projects to include partnership with fee strategy team to support fee changes and helping business teams reducing cost to serve
  • Influence successfully at all levels, think strategically, is a talented finance manager and a strong organizer, takes initiative, and operates effectively across many teams.
