About The Position

The Finance team supporting Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) is seeking a Finance Manager to partner with the AFT organization and help drive their future innovations. AFT powers Amazon’s global fulfillment network by designing and building the software and processes that enable customers to get what they want, when they want it. This role involves innovating in areas such as robotics, computer vision, machine learning, and operations research to improve quality, engage the workforce, and delight customers. The successful candidate must be able to think and act quickly under time pressure, manage multiple competing priorities effectively, and have a proven track record of superior financial and strategic analysis. They will influence business owners, support thoughtful decision-making, and adapt to a rapidly-evolving environment, collaborating with executives and various business units across Amazon. This person must thrive in a fast-paced environment and exhibit the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics. As Amazon is fast-growing, employees are often asked to perform tasks with a range of difficulties, requiring candidates to be motivated, disciplined, and able to work effectively autonomously.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • 4+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
  • 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
  • Ability to think and act quickly under time pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively
  • Proven track record of superior financial and strategic analysis
  • Ability to develop and deliver recommendations based on analysis
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Exhibit the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics
  • Motivated, disciplined, and able to work effectively autonomously

Nice To Haves

  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Knowledge of Tableau
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
