About The Position

We're seeking a dynamic financial professional to become a critical partner in shaping Amazon Cross Border's strategic financial landscape. In this pivotal position, you will play an instrumental role supporting processes that are essential to Amazon’s financial planning capabilities by partnering broadly across the Finance organization to translate complex numbers into compelling narratives and insights that guide executive leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 6+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience

Nice To Haves

• 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
• 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
• MBA, or CPA
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive financial bridges, narratives and strategic documents for executive leadership, covering monthly, quarterly, and annual planning processes
• Manage the annual financial planning and quarterly budgeting exercises by providing accurate, complete, and timely forecasts
• Collaborate proactively with business finance teams using a customer-obsessed approach to ensure data accuracy and alignment of financial reporting
• Create guidance and workback plans to support key financial review meetings and processes
• Utilize advanced financial systems to conduct deep-dive analyses and generate executive-level summaries
