Finance Manager, Canada

MovemberToronto, ON
Hybrid

About The Position

Men are dying too young - and it doesn’t have to be that way. Around the world, men are facing a health crisis: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and suicide. At Movember we’re on a mission to change the face of men’s health by making it easier for men to talk, act and live longer healthier lives. Every project, every campaign, every idea adds up to real change. You’ll be part of a mustache-powered crew who believe making an impact and having fun should go hand in hand. Your mission is calling. DO GOOD. Work for Movember. Your Mo-Mission (should you choose to accept it): This is an existing broad, end-to-end finance role sitting at the heart of our Canada operation. You'll own the full Canada P&L, keep our statutory and tax house in order, and be a trusted financial partner to the Country Director and Leadership Team as they plan, campaign, and grow. It's the kind of role that keeps you sharp. One day you're deep in budget modelling and forecasting, the next you're untangling a regulatory filing or supporting a major campaign push. No two months look the same.

Requirements

  • CPA designation with at least 5+ years’ relevant experience in similar roles
  • Must have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Flexibility to work with a global team across multiple time zones
  • Flexibility to handle last minute issues and projects that are not always within official scope of work
  • Extremely proficient using Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Superior attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Must know and live by Movember’s Values as well as possess a strong work ethic, working collaboratively with team spirit
  • Have a positive, can-do approach to finding and implementing creative solutions

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of NetSuite, Concur and/or Board
  • Written and spoken French fluency is a bonus

Responsibilities

  • Owning the Canada P&L end-to-end, including monthly reporting, variance analysis and KPI tracking - you know how to make numbers tell a story and you hold yourself accountable to them
  • Managing the full budgeting and forecasting cycle in close partnership with functional leads, keeping everyone informed and on track without hand-holding
  • Handling all statutory, tax and compliance obligations (T3010s, T4s, GST, regulatory audits and more) - you know your way around Canadian regulatory requirements and don't let deadlines sneak up on you
  • Supporting the Country Director and Senior Leadership Team with financial modelling and strategic analysis, translating complex data into clear insight for non-finance audiences
  • Overseeing the full partnerships accounting process, from contracts and invoicing through to receipting, with the attention to detail that keeps relationships clean
  • Keeping internal controls tight and flagging risks before they become problems - you've got the judgment to know when something needs escalating
  • Providing day-to-day finance support to the Canada team across expense tools, Concur, and campaign queries, juggling competing stakeholder needs without dropping a ball
  • Working with HQ and the Head of FP&A on reconciliation and reporting across global time zones, with a working knowledge of international accounting standards
