About the position
Affinidi is seeking a Finance Manager to join their team in Singapore. The Finance Manager will be responsible for driving the financial strategy and finance operations/reporting of Affinidi. They will manage accounting and finance functions, including reporting, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. The Finance Manager will also be involved in cashflow forecasting, tax compliance, and internal controls. This role requires a Chartered Accountant and/or Degree holder in Accountancy with 5+ years of commercial and/or audit experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounting and finance functions including reporting, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for entities within the Group
- Manage external accounting vendors for effective financial operations including timely and accurate closing of month-end accounts
- Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial reporting on a timely basis
- Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
- Provide inputs for cashflow forecasting and budgeting to enable monitoring of working capital
- Review employee expenses and claims, prior to disbursement
- Review local and foreign tax returns and compliance in line with statutory requirements
- Review and post inter-company transactions
- Manage the banking and treasury needs of the entities
- Ensure internal controls in place are adequate and in compliance with all corporate governance requirements
- Perform ad-hoc tasks and duties as required
Requirements
- Chartered Accountant and/or Degree holder in Accountancy
- 5+ years commercial and/or audit experience
- Excellent knowledge of IFRS and SFRS
- Knowledge of India and Germany accounting standards is preferred but not necessary
- Experience in maintaining a full set of accounts for multiple entities, including consolidation preferably in technology industry
